We are leaving this space for a short, real demonstration of how we clean and polish our own pieces. The video can be added here later without rebuilding the page.
Yu-Yulino jewelry is made from sterling silver, sometimes with natural stones or pearls. It is made to be worn. Water is fine; what silver reacts to more noticeably is its surroundings — air, skin, creams, perfume and time. Most changes you see are on the surface and can be cleaned at home.
Our sterling silver jewelry can be worn in water — in the shower, sea or rain. You do not need to treat silver as something that must stay untouched.
Cosmetics, creams and perfume can leave a film on the surface or make silver darken faster. This is usually not damage. It simply means the piece may need cleaning a little sooner.
Silver naturally reacts with air, skin and its surroundings. It can darken or lose some shine over time. This is normal, and it is reversible. In fact, polished silver often looks brighter the more regularly it is worn because everyday contact gently polishes the surface.
The silver polishing cloth we send with your order is reusable. Rub the silver gently until the shine returns. Keep the cloth for future cleaning rather than washing it after use.
For everyday cleaning, use lukewarm water, a little mild soap and a soft cloth or soft toothbrush. Rinse the piece and dry it well with a clean soft cloth.
If plain silver has darkened more noticeably, a small amount of toothpaste and a soft toothbrush can help. Brush gently, rinse thoroughly and dry the piece.
For jewelry with pearls or natural stones, use toothpaste only on the silver areas and do not scrub the pearl or stone itself.
Pieces with pearls or natural stones need the gentler version of the same routine. Use lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth, and clean the silver around the stone or pearl carefully. Avoid toothpaste and hard brushing directly on pearls or stones.
When you are not wearing your jewelry, keep it in a box or pouch rather than leaving it exposed to open air for long periods. This slows down surface tarnishing. Keeping pieces separately also helps prevent scratches from contact with other jewelry.
A dark layer, patina or cosmetic residue is a surface change and can be cleaned. Mechanical damage is different: dents, deformation or deep scratches usually need professional work.

If you are elsewhere, a local jeweler is usually the faster and less expensive option. Basic polishing or refreshing the surface of a silver piece can often take around 15–20 minutes, depending on the piece and the damage.
Yes. Our sterling silver jewelry can be worn in water. After cleaning, simply dry it well with a soft cloth.
Silver naturally reacts with air, skin and its surroundings. Cosmetics and perfume can speed this up. The darkening is usually surface tarnish and can be cleaned.
Only when it needs it. There is no fixed schedule. If the surface looks dull or darker than usual, polish or wash the piece and continue wearing it.
Yes, for plain silver areas. Use a small amount and a soft toothbrush with light pressure, then rinse thoroughly. Do not use toothpaste directly on pearls or natural stones.
Use lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Clean the silver around the pearl or stone gently and avoid abrasive cleaning directly on it.
